Because there are so many aspects to the game to learn, newcomers are often ignorant of a few fascinating and beneficial features. One of the most important things that newcomers may not be aware of is the ability to repair tools, weapons, and armor in Minecraft.

The grindstone and the crafting table are both repaired in the same way. To do so, players must place the damaged tool in the crafting grid alongside another tool of the same type, as seen in the image above. The only drawback is that the enchantments will be lost when the object is mended.

  • Anvils are a bit pricey to make because they require three iron blocks and four iron ingots (thirty-one iron ingots in total).

Players must insert the same sort of object in the anvil as they would in the crafting table or grindstone to repair an item. Unlike the grindstone, though, mending in an anvil does not destroy the tool's enchantments.

The sacrificed item's enchantments may be transferred to the restored item. If both tools had the same enchantment, the restored tool may have a higher level of enchantment.

The foundation material used to build the tool may also be placed to boost the instrument's durability points. For example, wooden planks are used to make wooden tools, whereas diamonds are used to make diamond tools.

  • Players can keep boosting the tool's durability by adding more basic material until it is entirely mended.

Regardless of how the player fixes a tool with an anvil, he or she will need a few experience levels to accomplish it.
